This is a past event.
The Hudson Valley Hullabaloo has always understood that “holiday market” undersells the thing. Now in its eleventh year, the beloved Kingston bazaar returns with over 75 makers, artists, eaters, growers, and micro-entrepreneurs—an annual reminder that the region doesn’t merely host creativity; it produces it by the truckload.
Expect the unexpected: Cheyenne Mallo’s topographic pottery—ceramic bowls etched like Catskill ridgelines—shares space with K/LLER’s sculptural brass jewelry and Dean Babin’s warm-grain cutting boards and furniture. Beauty and bodycare run the gamut from Tread Well’s minimalist, clean skincare to Phoenicia Soap Co.’s wildcrafted botanical soaps (and the always-welcome tick spray). The wellness-curious will want to seek out Mycophilic for mushrooms in medicinal form, while Atina Foods once again proves that fermentation and heritage can be downright revelatory (their Garlic Scape Pickle deserves its own holiday).
Fuel comes courtesy of Harana Market, Hole in the Wall donuts, and Samosa Shack—plus a holiday-appropriate nip from Union Grove Distillery. DJs, vintage racks, on-site portraits from Thorneater Comics, and tintype sessions with Tom DeLooza round out the carnival of local ingenuity.
It’s festive. It’s chaotic. It’s handmade in the full sense of the word—heart, hand, hustle. And yes, you’ll probably buy a gift for someone and end up keeping it for yourself.
