Celebrate 150 years of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse!
No lighthouse has ever had a birthday party like the one this summer for the 150-year-old beloved 1874 Hudson-Athens Lighthouse! A June 1 Boat Parade launches a summer of art, film, music, and festival events. Over 100 vessels of all sizes and purposes leave from Athens, Coxsackie and Catskill south along the Hudson River’s west side to Rip Van Winkle bridge, north on the east side to circle the Lighthouse and dock near Hudson’s Waterfront Park at 2 p.m. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. an onshore festival celebrates at the park with music, food, craft vendors, and community tables.
