The Crandell LIVE! 100th Anniversary Series, presented by industry luminaries, highlights important films from the past 100 years that continue to inspire the presenter. The next film in the series, Hoop Dreams (1994), is presented by Crandell Executive Director and filmmaker Mirissa Neff. Neff will have a post-film Zoom discussion with Arthur Agee and William Gates, the groundbreaking documentary’s stars. Synopsis: Agee and Gates, two 14-year-old Black students from inner-city Chicago, have dreams of playing for the NBA. Both show great potential and are recruited by top private schools as they enter high school. But life gets in the way.
