Harry Roseman: China 1987 + Panel Q&A

Artist's Statement: In 1987 I took a trip to China; While there I took more than 3,500 still photographs and recorded more than 30 hours of sound. At the time I figured I would, at some point, do something with that material. It wasn't until 2019 when I started work on the first of these animations; 30 years had gone by. Now approaching 40 years, I fully realize that this time span brought me to an understanding of what this project is fundamentally about.
