Grand Horizons, the witty and surprisingly touching comedy by award-winning playwright Bess Wohl, opens October 2 at the Ghent Playhouse. Directed by Cathy Lee-Visscher, the production runs for two weekends, October 2–4 and October 9–11. When a long-married couple drops a bombshell on their two adult sons, the family’s carefully constructed idea of “happily ever after” comes crashing down. The result is a sharp, funny and deeply human look at marriage, family, love—and the secrets we keep. What if, after 50 years together, the bravest thing you can do is start over?
