Paul Sunday’s paintings, photographs, installations and objects are reductive, absurd, and concerned with ritual over meaning. He seeks to give pause; to create subtle shifts of awareness around the subtle interactions of light and perception and the fragility of things. Influences include philosophy, construction sites, science, and ongoing fascination with the illusory nature of vision. Born in Missouri with a background in acting, editorial photography, and teaching, Sunday now lives in Catskill, NY.
