Dr. Bruce Anderson will deliver “Coming to America: 20 Years of Deaths Along the Arizona-Mexico Border.” He will speak about his work identifying the bodies of those found dead near the Arizona-Mexico border. For the last 20 years, the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner (in Tucson, AZ) has used geographical, biological, artifactual, and cultural information in an effort to determine whom these individuals are. Sharing of forensic information with foreign consulates and DNA profiling has helped identify those who died while crossing the border.
