Folded Door a multi-media Installation by Dani and Sheilah ReStack opens 4/7 at the Mildred I. Washington Gallery at Dutchess Community College.
Folded Door combines research into a 19th century separatist women's community in Belton, Texas, and speculative filmmaking. The artists, Dani and Sheilah ReStack, cast themselves and their friends as present-day descendants in their film, a work in progress entitled Stovepipe to the Sun.
Dani Leventhal ReStack is returning to Dutchess after twenty years. She was a faculty member in Performing, Visual Arts, and Communications. Sheilah Wilson ReStack is an award-winning Canadian artist and filmmaker.
The exhibit ends 5/15.
