The New York State Division of Human Rights, the Dutchess County Commission on Human Rights, and the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill have launched a three-part series, “Focus on Human Rights,” examining the evolution and advancement of human rights work in New York State. This series (two webinars and one in-person event) will cover the Division’s modernization efforts, New York State’s human rights protections under the Human Rights Law, an overview of the Hate and Bias Prevention Unit, the legacy of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and an in-person panel on Eleanor Roosevelt’s continuing influence on human rights work.
