An exhibition of over 20 works in stoneware and porcelain by Simon’s Rock Ceramics program resident artist and adjunct ceramics faculty member Harrison Levenstein. The show contains works from small to human-scale, all using an archetypal flower decorative motif, and glazed with salvaged hardwood ashes. At "flores cinis terra", translated "the flowers of the earth are ashes", expect to see visual nods to ceramics made by Korean, Japanese, South Indian, Grecian and English masters found in prominent museum collections. Exhibit dates Oct. 18-Jan. 15. Opening reception Oct. 25th 5:00pm-7:00pm.
