"Femenine"
“Femenine” is an evening-length dance piece choreographed by Kyle Marshall and set to live music by BlackBox Ensemble at the Pavilion Theater of PS21 in Chatham. The dance is a celebration of Black and brown LGTBQ+ people, with dancers dressed in androgynous costumes and queer joy on full display. The dance is set to Julius Eastman’s piece of the same name. After the performance, the BlackBox Ensemble will play more music by Eastman that all guests are welcome to stay for.
