Felipe Salles' The New Immigrant Experience Concert

Felipe Salles' The New Immigrant Experience is a powerful multimedia work inspired by the lives of "Dreamers," the almost 700,000 individuals currently protected by DACA. Written by Salles, who emigrated from Brazil in 1995, the work is an emotional musical journey which tells the stories of nine Dreamers, through video and music performed by Salles' 18 piece jazz ensemble. The West Stockbridge Historical Society, Berkshire Immigrant Center and Berkshire Theatre Group have partnered to make this event possible, and to focus on the positive contributions of the immigrant community to improving the quality of life for all of us.
