My sketched figures are always moving; I am interested in the shapes they assume. I sketch them waiting at the airport, playing basketball, having dinner with family and friends, dancing, installing patio doors, anything. These busy figures often appear in my paintings of some particular place-- maybe the place where I sketched or another.
