As we approach the eve of America's 250th anniversary, the country is still at a series of ever-alarming crossroads (with rising authoritarianism, ongoing inequality, corporate greed, and the questioning of basic human rights, to name a few). Set against this backdrop, Available Items presents 'DON'T SIT ON ME' - a protest show through the lens of chair design. Opening during Upstate Art Weekend, this brazen group exhibition features 13 chair designs that defiantly stand against the challenges and injustices that people face on a daily basis including works by Eric Trine, Felix Beaudry, Morgane Richer La Fleche and Peg Woodworking.
