David Amram has a lifetime of musical achievement and entertainment. Now 75 years as a professional performer, David and his band will give a fundraising concert at the historic Howland Cultural Center in Beacon. Beyond his classic repertoire, his performance always includes mesmerizing stories about his working with Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Odetta, Jack Kerouac, Alan Ginsberg, and of course, Beacon's most famous citizen of the past, Pete Seeger. Bandmates Kevin Twigg, Rene Hart and Adam Amram are joined by daughter/actress Adira Amram, who will read Kerouac text. Special!
