This April, the Putnam Chorale invites audiences on a powerful musical and spiritual journey with its newest choral concert offering – From Darkness to Dawn: Mozart’s Requiem and Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass. Mozart’s Requiem, left unfinished at the time of his death in 1791, remains one of the most moving and dramatic works ever written. In striking contrast, Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass offers a contemporary meditation on light, renewal, and transcendence. The concerts will feature a 20-piece orchestral accompaniment, as well as solo performances by professional artists Victoria McGrath, Adelmo Guidarelli, Maya Siepert, and John Burke.
