The Center for Photography at Woodstock hosts its fourth annual Photobook and Zine Fair, bringing independent publishing and photography together for an entirely free weekend in Kingston. More than 30 local and visiting publishers and artists will offer photobooks, zines, and other printed works, while 11 panels and artist talks explore family collaboration, self-publishing, photobook production, and the role books can play in building community. Speakers include Nick Meyer, Jordanna Kalman, Adrianna Ault, Kris Graves, and representatives from Good Neighbor, New Poetics Publishing, and CPW Book Press. Visitors can also browse the Upstate Photography Biennial and Community Gallery reading room or make a publication of their own in an all-ages zine zone organized by MKAD’s Youth Workforce. Vegan and gluten-free food will be available throughout the weekend. The fair takes place August 8 from 11am-6pm and August 9 from 11am-4pm at CPW, 25 Dederick Street in Kingston. Admission is free.
