Cornell Spacecraft Imaging Facility Manager to Speak

On Tuesday, August 20, Cornell’s Spacecraft Imaging Facility Manager Zoe Learner Ponterio will present “Shooting the Moon: A History of Photographing our Cosmic Neighbor”. The talk will be streamed at 8PM to the Coykendall auditorium at SUNY New Paltz and may be seen there or via Zoom. Just one year after the first photograph of a human was taken, the first image through a telescope was captured. The subject of that first astrophotograph was the Moon.
