"Confined"

Paintings by French-American contemporary artist Marc Bernier. Bernier is known for his emotionally charged, abstract geometric illusionist paintings that pulsate with chromatic tension. His work explores the dynamic interplay of color, light, movement, and depth—creating visual relationships that shift and evolve with each viewer’s perception. These formal interactions invite a uniquely personal and immersive response, as viewers are drawn into the work through the compelling vibrancy of color. In "Confined," Bernier reflects on the paradox of artistic boundaries: “I am interested in how an artwork, confined within its own finite and graphic borders, seems to expand beyond its physical nature—how it can emanate, radiate, and grow in the mind of the viewer.”
