Kristin and Chris (a.k.a. Critter) met when their bands Uncle Earl and Punch Brothers were just getting started. Over the years, they’ve shared the stage and studio with some of the most luminous artists of our time (Paul Simon, John Paul Jones, Emmylou Harris), and they’ve won awards (John Lennon Song Contest Grand Prize, a Grammy, Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year). As a duo, they favor Kristin’s originals, peppered with the bluegrass and old-time standards that Critter grew up on. All reimagined for two guitars, close harmonies, and the occasional riff on a dance board or harmonica.
