Chinese Brush Painting Discussion and Demonstration (11 am - 12:30 pm)
Jane Chang will introduce the traditions of Chinese brush painting, show some examples using books and some of her own work(confirm), and give a painting demonstration, talking about composition, materials, and technique.
Chinese Brush Painting Workshop (1 pm - 3 pm)
After the discussion and demonstration, a more intimate group will work under Jane’s guidance to create their own plein air painting in the Chinese manner. Traditional rice paper, paint, brushes, and a board will be provided; tables and benches are available.
