Checkpoint Zoo screening

A screening of the documentary Checkpoint Zoo followed by a conversation with director Joshua Zeman. A haunting documentary capturing the daring evacuation of 5,000 animals trapped behind enemy lines. As war ravages the land, a small group of volunteer rescuers risk everything to save lives that would otherwise be forgotten. Amid the devastation and cruelty, acts of compassion, bravery, and sacrifice emerge, restoring faith in humanity even in the darkest of times. This event is open to the public.
