Candlelight Night, December 5, Kinderhook Village Square

Experience CANDLELIGHT NIGHT IN THE HISTORIC VILLAGE OF KINDERHOOK. This free holiday celebration welcomes revelers of all ages to be part of an unforgettable old-fashioned winter fête spiced up with new-fangled fun. Sponsored by the Kinderhook Business and Professional Association, this annual event takes place on Friday, December 5, from 5:30 to 8:30pm, in the Village of Kinderhook’s Village Square and at shops, galleries, and historic sites – all within walking distance of the square.

This magical stroll features holiday lights; hayrides; musical performances of all stripes; caroling; seasonal spins with DJ Stuyvesanta; giant puppets; a visit with Santa; barbecue street food, baked goods, and sweet treats; and performances by Rising Star Dance Academy and the Ichabod Crane High School Band. And there’s more! Art lovers can visit world-class art galleries; shoppers can browse and choose seasonal gifts at local shops and the outdoor Holiday Market; visitors can stay at lodging conveniently located in the Village Square; and kids can get their faces painted, pet live ponies and farm animals, and bring home one-of-a-kind fantastical balloon-twists.
