The 48th annual HVP String Competition at Vassar's Skinner Hall features the classical music stars of tomorrow. Advanced Conservatory students ages 18-25 compete for cash prizes, a performance with the orchestra and a trip to Italy. On Sunday March 15, three finalists each play their complete concerto before a panel of judges and an audience. Following announcement of winners, a reception is held for all.
