Much like Sharon Jones, the Dap-Kings, and the late Amy Winehouse, the band’s sound is a retro, soul-funk revival of the ‘60s and ‘70s. The large group (10+ members) draws from Ethiopian beats by means of trumpets, flutes, saxophones, keyboards, and percussion, to create an entrancing and danceable groove.
