BRIAN DICKERSON | Constructed Paintings & Drawings

A solo exhibition of recent paintings and drawings by Brian Dickerson opens with a reception for the artist at Lightforms Gallery in Hudson, NY. on July 15, 2023, 4:00 – 8:00 and runs through Aug. 6. Dickerson’s paintings are structured from aggregated surfaces, rich with energetic brushwork, that envelope built-in elements. These buttresses and apertures at once tip and balance as their silhouettes continuously change with the ambient light. Though the paintings invite intimacy, Dickerson also leads a visual journey as vast as deserts as he engages with eternal questions of space and being.
