The 15th annual Bon-Odori Dance Day for Peace draws people in with a whirlwind of traditional Japanese dance, food, and the beat of a taiko drum while campaigning for a nuclear-free future. On the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, the Dance Day for Peace spreads awareness about how the nuclear radiation affects Japanese citizens to this day. Bon-Odori is a Japanese Buddhist dance festival that honors ancestors and reconnects people with family and friends. The festival will take place at Kingston Point Beach.
