Bill Frisell has emerged as one of today’s leading and most diverse guitarists, a player known for effortlessly moving between jazz, Americana, rock, classical, and experimental styles. With many of his recordings released on the crucial ECM label, Frisell has enjoyed fruitful collaborations with saxophonist John Zorn (as a member of Zorn’s explosive band Naked City); in trios with the late drummer Paul Motian and saxophonist Joe Lovano, and bassist Ron Carter; and many others, in addition to leading his own bands.
