Local activists, actors and others will read excerpts from their favorite banned book in observance of the American Library Association's National Banned Books Week at The Woman's Club of Albany. A reception will immediately follow the program. Readers include author Linda Wagner, actor Steve Holmes (a/k/a Carmie Hope), activist Nell Stokes, among others. The readings will be held in the WCA ballroom, which is not currently ADA accessible. Proceeds with benefit a local area public school library.
