May 6-June 25: Audrey Francis, Bird Brain solo exhibition. Recent oil paintings depicting a range of avian themes which explore gender, politics of the body, sexuality, ideas of beauty, and Francis' Latina heritage. Narrative, fashion, pattern, and nature drive these painterly, chromatically-rich works. Francis cites outsider/folk art, modern narrative figural work, and baroque portraiture as influences. On view weekends 1-5pm and by appointment.
