When Julia was a young girl, she used to go around looking in the backs of closets to see if she could get to Narnia. She was crushed and skeptical when her mother explained that it was "an allegory." But she never lost her belief that there is magic in the world.
The paintings and fairy houses in this exhibit aim to capture that beauty and mystery. These are places where you might find magical beings or portals to other realms - or at the very least reconnect with your own sense of the otherworldly.
