Ada Pilar Cruz, an artist and teacher at Garrison Art Center, embarked on a unique journey this past October to the Arctic Circle. For 20 days she and 29 other artists sailed around the Svalbard archipelago stopping both to experience the landscape and bear witness to dying glaciers. Through her presentation and work, she invites others to join her in reflecting on the fragile beauty of the Arctic environment and the importance of preserving its pristine wilderness. Ada will present her experience and the artwork she created using seaweed. This is a free event, please register for a seat.
