An Artist Sees the Cotton Club: Paul Tappenden Painted Perspective
A special art presentation by Dr. Chuck Stead on how the late artist Paul Tappenden (March 23, 1947 – October 4, 2021) was inspired to create his Cotton Club series, birthed from Francis Ford Coppola's movie set. The presentation will feature PowerPoint images of the four paintings, allowing audiences to engage closely with the artwork and the story behind it. Joining Dr. Stead as a special guest is Kathy Tappenden, Paul Tappenden’s widow.
