Join the renowned American Brass Quintet Oct. 29 for an
afternoon of cutting-edge chamber music. The concert begins
at 3 pm at St. George’s Church, 105 Grand St., in Newburgh.
The concert is the quintet’s second presented by Newburgh
Chamber Music. The eclectic program ranges from 17 th century
dances edited by Raymond Mase to a new work by Timothy
Higgins.
Founded in 1960, the quintet has built an international
reputation through its performances, commissioned works, and
commitment to music education. It has performed on five
continents, made nearly 60 recordings, and premiered more
than 150 contemporary works for brass.
