Alla Boara showcases the incredible diversity of Italy's folk music to audiences of all ages by blending first class musicianship with storytelling and captivating arrangements. Attendees will hear the stories of how the Italians used these songs during their everyday lives, and will be listening to the 1954 field recordings from Alan Lomax (famous American Ethnomusicologist) that inspired the group. Along with listening to the band’s arrangements and compositions, audiences will learn about some of the traditional folk instruments, and see how these different forms of musical expression created this amazing diversity within Italy’s folk music.
