Renowned artist and activist Nan Goldin upends her lengthy career to protest the influential Sackler family, the pharmaceutical dynasty that has poured millions into our finest museums but was also largely responsible for the opioid epidemic's unfathomable death toll. Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Laura Poitras and nominated for an Oscar, this double portrait of an artist and her mission tells Goldin's painfully personal story through her own words and images, from intimate interviews, slide shows and ground-breaking photography to rare footage of her fight to hold the Sackler family accountable.
