Alison Knowles: Secrets of Ordinary Things, curated by Katrin Lewinsky, spans two galleries, including an installation of Knowles’ iconic "Celebration Red" and a series of cyanotypes, where several of Knowles’ event scores will be performed on various dates throughout the duration of the exhibition. In "Celebration Red: Homage to Each Red Thing," Knowles extends her long-standing exploration of score, action, and everyday materials into the shared space of the gallery. Knowles’ series of cyanotypes titled "Secrets of Ordinary Things" functions as traces of action and attention, quiet records of looking, waiting, and doing, held in light and surface.
