The skies above Orange County Airport fill with precision formations, parachutists, historic aircraft, and high-speed aerobatics when Air Dot Show New York returns to Montgomery. Headlining the weekend are the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, whose six F-16 Fighting Falcons combine formation flying and solo maneuvers in a demonstration of speed and control. The program also features the C-17 Globemaster III, the West Point Parachute Team, aerobatic pilots Galen Killam and RJ Gritter, a B-25J Mitchell, a C-47, a UH-72 Lakota helicopter, and the spectacle of Cyberbeast versus plane. The event runs August 1-2, with gates opening at 9am and aerial performances scheduled from noon to approximately 4pm each day. Military aircraft will also be displayed on the ground. General admission starts at $37.50 for adults; children five and under enter free. Every general-admission order includes the parking pass required to access the airfield.
