Loren walks the woods scanning the forest floor for natural detritus gravity pulled down to the ground. These broken tree limbs and twigs are worked and weaved together to create a completely different yet recognizable shape – one that has been inspired by images beamed back from the Hubble Telescope, Buddhist mandalas, quantum physics and illustrations from the 15th century Voynich Manuscript.
Eiferman currently makes her art here in the Hudson Valley.
