SUMMARY:“Race Track: a novel” Upstate (Kingston) launch
DESCRIPTION:Join me for the Upstate NY launch of my 9th novel—"Race Track." I’ll read a few excerpts\, have a Q&A and sign copies. A bit about "Race Track": it's a fast-paced murder mystery set in the now-defunct Sheepshead Bay Race Track in 1880 Brooklyn. The lives of Jack (a scrappy female race track worker trying to pass as a man)\, Spiro (a talented but quick-tempered jockey) and Duds (a skilled African-American trainer) become forever intertwined. Set in recognizable Brooklyn locales as well as Hudson Valley towns like Hudson\, Garrison and Claverack. Price: Free
