SUMMARY:Second Life Forms: A Future Archaeology\, presented by ARTMoney Society
DESCRIPTION:Security envelopes become talismans. Street-found cardboard becomes an imagined landscape. A tree pulled from Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal becomes a series of geometric sculptures. The exhibition brings together Rachel Hornaday\, Ryan Sarah Murphy\, and Jos Prol\, three artists who find new possibilities in materials that have already had another life. Employing both ingenuity and imagination\, they each explore dimensions of form and pattern in everyday materials\, creating objects that transform familiar urban remnants into coded surfaces\, provisional terrains\, and artifacts from adjacent worlds. September 18 opening\, 6-8pm. September 19-27\, 10-5pm. Closing reception and artist meet-and-greet\, Sunday\, September 27\, 2-5pm.
