SUMMARY:Fawn Brown: Land\, Memory\, and Place
DESCRIPTION:Fawn Brown is a Tsalagi (Cherokee Nation) artist whose work explores material relationships to land\, memory\, and place. Brown will be creating a series of small-scale paintings depicting local flora\, fauna\, and landscapes endemic to the Catskill ecosystem. Her week-long artist residency at Brunel Park supports a shift toward field-based work\, allowing her to create pieces that are both visually engaging and meaningfully connected to the natural environment. Incorporating beadwork\, felt\, and softer surfaces\, this body of work expands on Brown’s previous practice of painting on wood while introducing a more tactile and fluid visual language. Price: Free\, RSVPs requested
