She will share parts of the trilogy “Legacy of a Wealthy Slave\," discussing her mother’s orphaned childhood and of how she\, Denise\, came to learn of her ancestors’ story. Her great-great grandfather in Edenton\, NC was a formerly enslaved man who purchases his freedom\, moves to New Haven\, registers a patent for his invention\, buys property\, and sends two of his sons to Yale University. Ms. Page will share more about the unfolding of Mr. Manning's "enslavement-to-autonomy" story. Price: free
