DESCRIPTION:As the federal government moves to evict bison from the lands they have roamed for centuries\, one artist’s exhibition at Mad Rose Gallery asks us to reckon with what we almost lost — and what we are at risk of losing again. Mad Rose Gallery presents Eyes of the Unseen\, an exhibition of new paintings by Iranian/American artist Moshgan Rezania\, on view May 2 through June 28\, 2026. An Artist’s Reception will be held on Saturday\, May 30\, from 4 to 6 PM at Mad Rose Gallery\, 5916 N Elm Street\, Millerton\, NY. This exhibition brings together two closely intertwined bodies of my work -Expressionist and Abstract Expressionist paintings -in which the living world becomes both subject and metaphor for survival\, freedom and transformation. At the center are two monumental Expressionist Bison paintings defined by bold impasto brushwork and a luminous palette of oranges\, blues and greens. This story lives in me. I was born in Iran\, and I have known revolution\, war\, displacement and the long labor of building a life in a new land. I have painted through all of it. Like the Bison\, I have persisted and I have evolved. Price: May 30 2026 4-6pm for Artist Reception
