Sparking the low-power FM (LPFM) grassroots movement in the late 1990’s, a 28-year-old secretary started an illegal 40-watt pirate radio station out of an apartment closet.
Directed by station founder Sue Carpenter, this film chronicles how she took over the FM dial to play alternative music. Featuring guest DJs like punk rock icons Mike Watt, Keith Morris, and Don Bolles. Jack Black serves as an executive producer on the documentary.
