2-day Landscape Sgraffito Vase (adults class) with Karen Jaimes

Students will learn hand building techniques and decorating techniques to make a landscape vase or bottle. Day 1, 2/11: Learn how to hand build a flattened 3" w. x 10" h. vase with step-by-step instructions to achieve a shape similar to the one featured in the photo. Day 2, 2/18: Learn sgraffito, a decorative ceramic technique. Students must bring 2 image options this day of some type of landscape. Students will transfer their image onto the vase by observing and drawing. Pick-up day: March 4th, 2023 from 1-8pm (clay is fired twice).Recommended: short fingernails and an apron or old shirt.
